Fall Lawn Aeration

Strengthen Your Lawn from the Ground Up

By aerating in the fall, your lawn is better prepared for winter and positioned for thicker, greener growth the following spring.

Fall aeration is one of the most beneficial services you can provide for your lawn. Over time, soil naturally becomes compacted from foot traffic, mowing, pets, and everyday use. Compacted soil restricts the movement of air, water, and nutrients, making it difficult for grass roots to grow deep and healthy.
Our core aeration service mechanically removes small plugs of soil throughout the lawn, creating thousands of openings that allow essential nutrients, oxygen, and moisture to reach the root zone. This process helps relieve compaction, improve drainage, reduce thatch buildup, and encourage stronger root development.
Why Choose Fall Aeration?

Fall is an ideal time to aerate because grass is actively growing and can recover quickly from the process. The openings created by aeration allow roots to expand deeper into the soil before winter arrives, resulting in a stronger and healthier lawn next season.
When combined with a proper fertilizer program, aeration can significantly improve the effectiveness of nutrients and help maximize your lawn's overall health.
Benefits of Fall Aeration

Relieves soil compaction
Promotes deeper, stronger root growth
Improves water penetration and reduces runoff
Increases nutrient absorption
Enhances oxygen flow to the root zone
Helps break down excess thatch naturally
Encourages a thicker, healthier lawn
Improves overall turf health and resilience

What to Expect After Aeration
After your service, you will notice small soil cores scattered across the lawn. This is completely normal and an important part of the process. These cores will naturally break down over time and return valuable nutrients and microorganisms to the soil.
To achieve the best results:
- Leave the soil cores on the lawn.
- Water lightly and consistently for the next 2–3 weeks if conditions are dry
- Avoid mowing for 5–7 days following service.
- Minimize heavy foot traffic while the lawn recovers.
